Saki Inafune, niece to legendary game developer Keiji Inafune, can’t wait to visit her uncle’s new theme park. She’s been invited to the opening day ceremonies, and is looking forward to a day of fun and excitement when suddenly Count Hogstein – a villain as corpulent and cliché as he is evil – blows up the Ferris wheel, takes the park management hostage, and declares the beginning of a deadly series of games.
Desperate to save her uncle, Saki volunteers to be one of the participants in Hogstein’s games, and finds herself thrust into the midst of excitement very different from what she’d expected when she woke up that morning. She’ll need all of her cunning, determination, and exceptional insight to get herself and her fellow participants – all available bachelors – out alive and maybe, with a little luck, find love along the way.

This game is really sweet (pun intended). Saki is an amazing heroine, she doesn’t wait for anyone to take the lead, she’s the only one to volunteer for Hogstein’s sick game, and she doesn’t take any shit from the main guys.
None of the guys interested me, they weren’t much my type nor did I found them enchanting at the beginning, but Saki + the puzzles carried this game so hard, that I stayed awake all night till I finished all the guys.
Saki Inafune has a temper to her, she’s also sweet and caring but doesn’t get bossed around, nor does she become a damsel in distress.

She isn’t like some heroines that are completely illogical and do things after years pass by, no, she wants it and she does it now. Refreshing, I must say, very very refreshing. The puzzles are nice and ‘easy’, you can make 3 choices, and if you fail there’s a retry. I must say I only failed perhaps once-twice, but I found they had just the right flair and break from the game, and gave the game a really good rythm of story/puzzle/story.
The guys became endearing, and interesting, and surprised me as I did them. They aren’t as dumb and stupid as some of them might appear, and they all have reasons for being there.
The art style is really nice, and reminds me a bit of Ace Attorney‘s (which I really liked), and graphically the game is really spot on~
All in all, it’s a very good story, filled with interesting characters, but what really takes the cake, runs with it and eats it, is Saki and there’s no shame in that either~
Have you heard about this game before? Have you played it? If so, I’d love to know what you think of it!
This is one of my favorites ^^
It’s the second Otome Game I ever played and the first I played on the Vita, so it holds a special place in my heart (:
I absolutely *loved* Saki – she really was the highlight of this game. As well as the puzzles and the mystery/action aspect, which I found to be done extremely well.
It also mixed the romance really well as well as realistically, and I found all routes to be unique and sweet ^_^
Great review! I know you wrote this a long time ago, but I haven’t played this game so long ago so it’s still relevant to me 🙂

I’m glad to meet someone else that knows this game exists and likes it! 🙆
It’s okay, I let these old reviews stay up because they’re still relevant to how I see the games so always feel free to comment on them 💕
Yes, she and the puzzles and mystery were definitely the highlights, and what really made the game stand out. I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙆💕
I always wanted a sequel or fan disk for it, so I’m sad it never got it nor got a remake 😖
