Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ MUSIC (うたの☆プリンスさまっ♪MUSIC, Uta no☆Purinsu-sama♪MUSIC) is the sixth game in the Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ series and the first purely-rhythm game among them, with Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ MUSIC 2 being the successor in this particular line of the game.

Well, this game is a very good entry point.Do you like rhythm games? Are you perhaps in Love Live/Idolish7/Aichuu hell? Maybe learning Japanese and find all the games have too much text and need gameplay to break it up but can’t enjoy RPG? Either because of the gameplay or because you can’t understand what to do?
If you like rhythm games, of course. The mechanics of the game are simple: you play songs for the dude you want to unlock scenes with, you play the song 3 times and you get a mini scene where they talk with you. You unlock songs and characters by completing songs in rank S. You have to do the song in all difficulties and getting S rank to unlock a longer scene.
Bonus: you can view these scenes in the gallery whenever you want.
Of course, there’s the rhythm part and you gain points and use them to buy outfits and remove clothing and accessories /rubs hands in delight
Yeah, this game is for us all perverts to toy with the guys~
I must say it’s hard to see the kanji during the scenes, I think it’s the way the screen crunches/changes for them. But I do think it’ll be good for those afraid of wall of texts and kanji overload. The story scenes are brief and sweet, so this game focuses more on the songs and the rhythm, which is fine by me! (≧∇≦)/
Now I haven’t finished unlocking everything, far from it since I’m playing Starry Sky in Spring currently (and also battling my depression with Feeling Good by David Burns), but I’d say this is a nice game for beginners. Perhaps even the ideal first one, if you like rhythm!
Language Difficulty: 2 out of 5
Recommended to: Beginners, since it’s voiced and doesn’t have lots of text.
Happy gaming everyone! (⌒▽⌒)
Have you heard about this game before? Have you played it? If so, I’d love to know what you think of it!
I could never get into rythym games because I am so bad at them 😛 Srpgs are a breeze for me but a music game? Noooooo. I really am thinking of getting this now though if I can get a cheap copy. I look forward to your review! XD

Well, there’s nothing wrong with not being able to play. I read around and this game is hard in the rhythm genre, even for Project Diva players. Though if I had to recommend a game in the rhythm genre, it’d be Love Live. It’s pretty straightforward and it’s voiced, plus it’s touch instead of buttons, and really eases you in~
RPG in Japanese….I wouldn’t want to try to decipher where I had to go or what to do in Japanese while getting random battles everywhere |°з°|
Walkthroughs exist, and I know many play JP games with walkthroughs so they don’t lost (or with summaries for JP only)~ (-^〇^-)

hahaha thank you!!! I’ll look into to it then! Oh, I have a question. How I can save my PSP/PS1 games on my Vita to my PC? Do i copy files + the game or just one of them? Srry, so confused I can’t find an answer for this.

You have to use a programme, either by Sony or open source, to connect the Vita to the PC. From there you have to go the PSP folder and copy it. I think google explains it better than I can, I don’t remember 100% right now >_<
You can just copy games or just saves~

Ok thanks! For PSP/PS1 games, can I just copy the files and delete the game? Then I can redownload it later? Sorry, I couldn’t find this answer on google 😛 I just don’t want to lose my progress.

Yes, you can redownload them, you won’t lose your progress as long as you keep the savedata (´∀`)
Only digital Vita games get their saves deleted when you deleted the game (☆^ー^☆)

OOOOOO I see! Thanks so much! And sooooo sorry, just one more: What’s the diff between backing up and copying? Is one better?
LikeLike
I’d say they’re both the same, but backing probably will be everything while copying you can select just some files to copy. Maybe see on Google if one is faster than the other? I’m not 100% positive.
The PSP was real simple, just had to copy to a folder on the PC. You can transfer PSP saves to the Vita too, I did that when I bought mine, but then I kept using my PSP and since then haven’t transfered. One day I see my PSP is kicking the bucket, I’ll transfer those again so I can have them safe on my Vita (≧∇≦)/

Oh! Sorry you mentioned that if you clear songs you get a cg. Are they kiss cgs?
LikeLike
Clearing songs gives a small scene where they talk, but it isn’t a CG. If there’s CG it’s after completing a song in all the difficulties levels, but I haven’t yet since I’m playing Starry Sky in Spring currently (-^〇^-)
Maybe look at reviews of it to see about that? (☆^ー^☆)

I’m playing Starry Sky in my PSP. I don’t have a 3DS and waiting isn’t my forte (plus no laptop to play the PC version (⌒_⌒;) )
Oh, congrats! I’ll be looking forward to your review/thoughts in it ~(^з^)-♡

OMG there’s a 3ds version too?! Whoa lol but I’m afraid the kanji would look blurry on that screen. Same with the psp. Are psp screens not as clear as vita ones? I hear that complaint a lot. Awww thanks! I don’t know if I can do it justice like you did tho haha you should really consider making more reviews of games!!!You give just enough detail to intrigue people in your reviews and make them want to continue reading.

Yeah, all 4 games with their 4 fandisks came out for 3DS and now it’ll come out for Vita~ (-^〇^-)
Actually not that bad, Starry Sky I can the kanji pretty well. Utapri Music crunches the kanji, so busy kanji become illegible ;_;
Omg I really didn’t, Hinano for example summaries and tells all the details about the games (I could never because that’s a lot of work and I don’t like going into detail >__< (and I'm procrastinating writing some posts I'm not sure yet how to tackle) but I do want to do more otome games, specially because I retook blogging to rate them on difficulty based on my studies (to help other learners) (ㅇㅅㅇ❀)
(BTW, do you have Line?)

Whoa I see:)
Lol and that’s awesome! I like your concept for blogging. It would definitely help a ton of ppl! I do have one but I rarely ever use it.

Thank you! I found there was a ton of resources for difficulty for galge and normal VN, but otome is like dry land. So even if it’s just one or two people that read/get help, I’ll be real happy ;v;

Definitely!!! I really wish Beast Master had succeeded but maybe this will draw attention to otoges?

The Vogue article certainly means otome games are getting more widespread. I’d say android games have been helping, because it’s where it has flourished a lot.
I wish it had succeeded too! Now I’ll have to put in my pile to play in the future.
One interesting thing is that fan translations for otome games are becoming more widespread, like Storm Lover Kai got one, Brother’s Conflict Passion Pink is going to get get one, the Tokimemo Girl’s side all 4 games (DS and the PSP one) got translated. Love Revo got translated too. Ayakashi Gohan is getting one too.
So I definitely see more, even though I discovered some like Clock Zero and Diabolik Lovers got dropped/cancelled.
Now I just wish companies grabbed these fan translations and brought them over so we can properly support them in our market (which is important, importing is helping Japan but doesn’t help the west market).
Sorry if I rambled! >_<
