The dub is a miracle on this world, it’ll make you howl in laughter each time they say anything. DiaLovers was not gifted with a good dub, but it just means it makes the show even funnier!
Watch with a group of people
You’ll both be laughing together, and bring about about the best of each other. While I watched it with a group of friends, I kept rewinding to parts that made us laugh extra hard. It made the experience even better!
Marathon it
That’s right, the less you think of it and the plot, the more enjoyment you’ll get out of it. Also must admit the show is pretty to look at, and there were some sexy scenes that had me shook and had to rewind back /remembers it, /mops sweat. I’m weak to thigh bites, okay? 😹😹
Just enjoy the ride
Not gonna lie, I know there’s a lot of hate, but there’s way worse shows out there. Take it for what it is, sexy vampires being hilarious (and douchebags at times) cause all their actions were just so random I almost peed myself laughing 😹😹😹👌
Fifth and last: It’s just an anime, don’t take it so serious
No, really. I know anime can be serious, and thought provoking, doesn’t mean all the content can be. Also, realize that this is a fantasy, and girls can have unsafe fantasies. There’s no issues with that, don’t trash the girls or the fandom for liking it.
And those are my five tidbit advice’s for that. In no way am I trashing the show, or the fandom, or the fans, I’ve not only done this to DiaLov, I’ve done it to other otome anime adaptations like Amnesia, Brothers Conflict, because sometimes it’s just nice to pull back and laugh, we’re here to enjoy this media!

Watched about one episode and read a little about the game before realizing it’s not for me. But the group poking-fun-at-the-series aspect was what really got me into UtaPri thanks to Nico Nico.

Omg, I love UtaPri because of that, I watched with another girl and we laughed, cackled and made jokes about their songs being orgasms and semen and etc, because of how ridiculous the “wow” moments are. Good times 😹😹😹👌👌👌

I won’t lie – I hate this with a passion. The whole first season was an exercise in not throwing my laptop at the wall.
That said, I have no intention of shaming people who like this. I can see why people would like this, whether as comedy or kink. It just wasn’t for me.

I understand perfectly, if I think too hard about the dudes actions and etc, I get so WTF & discomfited.
You’re definitely right that this isn’t for everyone, hopefully you find another show that is right for you or that doesn’t make you almost mutilate your laptop 😹

I enjoyed watching the anime. It was interesting and really pretty (seriously, I like how even tho it was short, and not a whole of action to the animation itself, the frames were generally well drawn.) But it’s true I couldn’t help laughing! I watched it in Japanese though since I’m a fan of some of the voice actors. I originally got into the franchise cuz I listened to some of the songs. Though actually knowing the lyrics to the songs now kind of makes them ridiculous too X’D.
Yup, just enjoy it at face value and don’t worry about whether others like it or not. And if you don’t like the franchise, just ignore it. There’s no way to make it non-controversial anyways~

I would say I’m more of a casual fan of Diabolik Lovers. I still haven’t watched anything related to More Blood so I know even know who the Mukami and Tsukinami dudes are, except that they were included in a set of character straps I bought (mostly cuz the set looked cute.)
It really is ridiculous though, but it can be fun getting to know the game’s characters. It was a long time before I warmed up to Utapri since it was also very ridiculous, but in a way that is so, so shiny. I still can’t bring myself to finish the anime (stopped after season 1 again lol). But I like some of the songs and I filled my room with Kurusu Syo. x’D

I was so surprise when I learnt how many famous JP VA’s I recognize when I checked the series out. The 💸💸💸 flowed a lot for this series 😹😹

I love the UtaPri anime for making me laugh at some of the ridiculous situations, plus I keep linking all their exploding stars and etc with orgasms and semen because they just make it so easy really 😹😹😹
Season 2 and 3 are even more ridiculous and hilarious, so keep going, it’s fun to watch! 👌👌
Ooh, Syo, I think the ones I like the most are double personality dude, and straight-chopped dark-blue hair, I can’t remember how to spell their names right now so I won’t even try 😹
