2016 in Review

I’ve seen similar/type of posts like this, and I really felt like doing it too. I feel like I’ve learnt and changed a lot, as a blogger and person, over this past year!

I’m not going to be going in about minute details, for those you can check my Seasonals Plans  and Reviews, and also my Monthly Updates!

This was a big year for me, I wrote a lot of reviews, far more than I thought, and I got back to studying Japanese, and even played my very first otome game in Japanese. I also settled on a schedule for the blog, wrote really a lot and scheduled them, which really helped with me staying motivated because I knew I had things under control.

Who knew a schedule could enhance your output when you’re the type that frets/gets anxious? Well, now I know! My previous feelings of “even posting daily wouldn’t be enough” have been vanquished, and I quite enjoy how I’ve done the schedule for it and think it isn’t overbearing, and it’s just the right doses of content.

I also started a bunch of segments like Let’s Talk About, which covers the other side of media like voice actors/mangaka/authors; Spotlights, covering manga/anime/shows/comics; Let’s Rant, on things that made me salty and shook; Impressions, for first impressions of games/anime; Get to Know Me, in an effort to share more of myself and also of getting to know each other; Monthly Update, to update every month with what I was able to do in the gaming world; Seasons Plans and in Review, to cover what I hope to achieve and is the actual result;  ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ﾉ

Thanks to those segments, I wrote about a lot of series I wanted to talk about since forever that I never knew how. I still think my posts haven’t done any justice to any of my subjects, but I’m trying okay? I tried ;_;

The biggest accomplishment wasn’t that I returned to studying Japanese, finished a game in Japanese or how many reviews I clocked. It was that I returned to blogging, writing again, after giving it up 2 years ago. It was also returning to gaming, after not having it done for something like a year too. Those were my biggest accomplishments, and I’m glad I returned and was able to finish games again. I also returned to watching anime, since I hadn’t for a couple of years.

This year was the return year, return to what I like, and I couldn’t be happier by how much love and kindness I’ve been shown and showered with by you all that stopped by this little forgotten corner of the internet to strike conversations with. Every like, view and comment are so appreciated by me, and I was honestly astounded by how much growth my blog got compared to when I first started. I couldn’t be more humbled whenever someone says they loved what I wrote, or agreed with my opinion, you’ve all made me a better person.

Excuse me as I try to reign in the waterworks, because I get misty eyed with how many people I got to know and be touched by thanks to returning. You’re all so supportive, I love you, and the WordPress community is the best ever. I’ve never felt as welcomed and loved as I did here, and I am so happy I got to go through this year with you all by my side.

It might not have been an easy year, is there even easy years?, but we kept strength and going and I siphoned strength from all the kindness and love I received.
