Some Japanese Slang Resources

Doesn’t really get taught in textbooks, heck most books don’t even teach hiragana or show anything but polite language. Slang has to be acquired through the internet, friends that are in the know, and so I thought to do a little tiny post. I saw this video by Sharla in Japan about slang and liked it, so I’m linking it, click here, and so got curious to see what other resources I could find (☆^ー^☆)

Tofugu did a post too, click here, with some really nice examples plus they use Japanese text for the examples so you learn to use it in context (⌒▽⌒)

FluentU also did one such post, right here, some that weren’t touched upon on Tofugu and also gives more examples and ways they can be used (*^▽^*)

Maggie Sensei also has one here with so much information and ones not found in the other websites (^ω^)

And last but not least, Tae Kim also talked about it here, he’s whole guide is worth it. He explains grammar super well! (≧∇≦)/

Happy learning everyone and keep fighting! o((*^▽^*))o
